UPDATE: Carma    ....  ----CARMA is ADOPTED...... 06/26/2016 - Carma's newly adopted family from Lodi, Ca will continue to own Carma......

It is unfortunate that I have to find a special home for Carma. Carma was adopted out to the very good elderly couple. She blended in her new home very well..... almost too well. She is 'alpha' in the home and she is protective of her home there. The family is needing to give her up for they cannot have visitors arriving unannounced with Carma full rein of the home/property. So she needs to be placed with a person with good dog training skills, and prefer no children, cats, or big size dogs.

Doberman Pinscher - female 3.5 yrs old

Special Adoption --- fee is waived to experienced Doberman Pinscher trainer/family

3 1/2 yrs old spayed Doberman Pinscher female ---

Carma was returned to me for the family sold their house, job relocation and has to rent where the landlord does not accept dogs.

She was born Sept 02, 2012. She is posted on my website -

She is just over 3 yrs old, or another way, going on 4 yrs old. she is spayed, ears cropped, tail docked, dew claws removed, micro chipped, stomach tacked, and UTD all vaccinations. Because she was spayed she developed a slight incontinence (a tbsp) leakage at night if she doesn't take her daily medicine. She takes estriol once a day. The medicine is inexpensive. While staying with me, I have not really noticed any issues with this in her bedding where she sleeps. With her short stay with her new family, Carma did not have any leakage there as long as she has adequate potty time out and just before bed time. Carma will let you know if she did. While with me, I had her on several potty breaks during the day and last one before bedtime. No leakage. Carma had a fecal test which results were negative no parasites. Carma had her wellness exam while with me and is in excellent health.

She was raised with small children growing up, other family pets (dogs) not sure of cats. She is a gorgeous Doberman Pinscher.

More of Carma's personality -

behavioral issues:

she does like to bark just because whether she is outside or in the house. To control her barking outside we do use a bark collar, but that is only when we are home and if we leave the house she does not wear one. When in the house and she starts barking because of people outside or a dog or a cat walking. To reduce her unsupervised barking- use of a bark collar usually will get her to stop.

She is house broken and if out on errands she is either in outside secured dog run or in the house while we are gone she is crated.
She is feed her twice a day normally around 7 in the morning and around 4 or 5 at night. The food we have her on is a Costco brand Nature's Domain.

She was taught her not to have food aggression from her former owners ( including the kids) which had their hands around her and by the food while she ate. She will also sit and wait to be told "okay" to eat.

She is good with other dogs (small to medium size) she does try hard to be the alpha where ever she goes. Cats well while on a walk she was scratched on the nose by one and ever since will bark but will not try to attack it.

She knows the words "heal" while walking on a leash or off the leash. She knows that while in the house she is to walk and not run like a crazy dog. She knows how to sit, lay down (to lay down we can either say down and point to the floor with our finger or just point to the floor and she will lay down. She will come when called and normally will come to you and sit down next to you.

The ideal family for her would be a family with no kids, no cats, or big size dogs. She gets nervous around little kids. She is active so the family does need to be outgoing and needs to get her out for walks. She doesn't like to just lay around."

At first greeting, Carma is a little bit timid and shy. Once she knows her new family she quickly warms up.

Pictures of her in post.

Again, she is AKC registered (no AKC cert transfer will be issued to new family, just a copy of it will be provided), and she is spayed, and raised as a family pet. Pictures are of Carma - baby to adult now, and Xena (dam) Gino (sire) - Carma's pedigree lines are roughly 85% European heritage lines. Sire is from Hungary.

Carma will be placed with a preferred dog trainer, experienced with Doberman Pinscher family. She tends to be 'alpha' in her home environment... -- she will only be placed in a selected screened home. SHe is registered but there will be no AKC papers transferred in adoption.

If you live in apartments or other rentals -- sorry she cannot be placed with families.

Pictures of her in post were taken a few days ago. She is AKC registered, but she is spayed, and raised as a family pet.

Experience with Doberman Pinscher breed is a must. Must have place for her to play in back yard.

If you live in apartments, or condos she wouldn't be placed in the environment. Don't ask if she is free, she is not.
