Gabi and Mister March 10, 2020 litter
As of April 5, 2020, all puppies reserved
This page will be updated weekly once puppies are born. Gabi is expecting at least 7 puppies to arrive around March 11-13th. Her pregnancy was confirmed with 2 ultrasounds, and xray due March 6th to confirm how many pups to expect. I will post puppy pictures a few days after birth for it takes much devotion making sure puppies in neonatal stages survive as well as all the attention to Gabi too. Be patient for additional information will be coming.
Those on email list and waiting to reserve their puppy, will be first choice in order of list. Thereafter, pups will be reserved when the list is done. I normally take up to 15 people per litter annoucement and those already on it are first.
I will each week give growing details of how Gabi is doing as well as the puppies developing and summary of any medical issues. Tail dock/and dew claws are schedule to be done within 5 days after birth and medial check up on pups as well as Gabi. I rarely post videos for it takes so much time to post them, but will do my best to post a few.
Week 6th is another wellness checkup, microchip, 1st vaccination and worming meds started. Since being out in Northern Nevada, I have not had issues with parasites in my dogs nor puppies. I do if need to fecal check a few pups making sure I am still 100% with my pups.
I will be posting pictures of the pups in group photos, and once ID collars on them they will each have weekly photos and names given by me for my id'ing the pups to potential puppy homes. The litter of the pups are registered AKC. Included in price is AKC registration fee and breeder (me) will be registering them once they go home.
Please email me at diawilsjca@yahoo.com for questions, or reserving your pup. I do take paypal, (button will be displayed on this page later). I am also looking at accepting Zelle for deposits.
UPDATED: Puppies are expected to be around 8 weeks of age May 5th and cropping to be scheduled within the week 8 before they go home. Please have crop style image of preferred crop for those having ears cropped.
UPATE April 2nd: --- because of the coronavirus my vet has told me that elected surgeries will start first week of May. Cropping surgery is scheduled during week of May 4th. I will have those pups going home earliest for crop surgery starting that Monday 4th, Tuesday 5th and Thursday 7th.
Puppies arrived March 10, 2020. Gabi has 6 puppies (5 boys and 1 female). Female is pending reserving (sorry only one). The birth of all 6 puppies was good, and was about total of 12 hours for all 6 puppies to arrive. No puppies lost.
March 13th - vet appointment - tail docked, dew claw, wellness check including checking hearts for murmurs. All passed all healthy pups.
March 16th - 21st - Puppies are growing little tubs. Their eyes are now starting to open and they are exploring all around their little cubby box. Gabi is still staying with them and being such a good mommy. All is good, healthy pups. Collars are on the pups and are now being named for my purpose of this page with updated pictures each week.
March 20th I am now able to start to take reservations/deposits of pups. 5 boys will be available, and all puppies are nice birth size and weights. Appointments only to come see the pups, and how I raise them, please email/call.
March 29th - Puppies are growing and we moved them from whelping box to their new den area. Puppies eyes are open and teeth are starting to break thru. The toy size collars are being adjusted and soon will be changing into small size collars hopefully matching same type. Weights on puppies are increasing. Puppies are doing excellent. Puppies are now starting to play with one another and walking around. Gabi is still being a good mom to her babies.
March 30th - Gabi and her pups are doing super in their nice big den. The pups teeth are now breakng thru and I've started to introduce puppy formula to start weaning phase. Pups are going to be 4 weeks old April 7th. The pups are all moving around and playing with each other. The toy size collars will change to small size collars this week sometime for they are growing out of any more adjustments on the toy size. Also the start of them to learn potty and bed area in their den. And possible next week, puppy toys for them to play and share with. They will also experience being in a crate while traveling in vehicle for rides.
April 6th -- During this whole week the puppies are in weaning stage. They are eating formula soaked kibbles, with some of The Honest Kitchen mixture, and Royal Canin puppy mousse with about 1/4 cup of raw angus ground beef. The pups are harty eaters. I have also introduced the water bottle that hangs on their kennel. This solves any feet getting into water dishes so this is clean water for them. I have put in some toys that are either Kong or Nylabone types. They are also getting used to the separation of their kennel where the bed is suppose to stay clean and the cedar shaving is for potty. They went on a long adventure ride with Gabi and Coco. They did very good staying overnight in La Quinta. Good thing I had plenty of blankets, pee pads and paper towels for clean ups. The long ride in the SUV they did very good to, not to much crying. Their weights are from 8 - 10lbs ending this week of my notes. They continue growing and Gabi is wanting more away time. We are 1/2 way point and time is going by so fast.
April 13th - The pups are absolutely adorable. They are growing like weeds. Getting bigger, and gaining weight as expected. They are now sleeping at night w/o Gabi now and well into weaning stage, eating very well, and drinking water even thought momma comes to feed them sevearl times a day still and plays with them. They are right on que with growth, and now into their 6th week by April 21st. They are playing with each other, exploring the toys I put with them, getting exposed to some different surfaces, and outdoors air temps too. They will have thier wellness check up, microchip, 1st vaccination, and worming meds. The vet will also weigh them and I can compare that with my home weight making sure we are on same page. Raising puppies has been a wonderful experience with such loving emotions they give to humans. These 6 puppies are a joy to watch and play with and take pictures of them. They have gone on a couple of long travel rides. This last one it took a couple of them to settle down but finally did.
April 20 - This week was a busy one for the puppies and on our personal family events. The puppies had their 6 weeks vet wellness checkup on the 21st. All was super great. Weights were from 10.7 lbs to a whopping 14.7 lbs. They got microchipped, checked their temps, heart rate, and pulse. All of them consistant and normal. No murmurs. The boys jewels were checked and they are there, and you can feel/see them. Yippie. The rest of the week, the nails were dremeled on Saturday. 3 of the boys decided they just didn't like it and peed on me. lol. They also got fussy to settle down for me to take good pictures but out of 150 images not many were clear of each pup. So we are coming into week 7 and boy I will miss them, but as usual I have had my workout of being the matron of them all. They are eating pretty much human grade food and have merged to Victor Beef/brown rice and Fromm whitefish kibbles. They are doing excellent in transition in weaning stage. Week 7 is getting everything together preparing them for their new homes.
